Roll on Spring.... NEW COURSES NOW OUT
HAPPY NEW YEAR
We hope that your New year resolutions include booking on that printmaking or bookmaking course you have been meaning to go on for a while. The Spring course programme will start in February and run to May. Courses are already booking up. Hard Backed Books is full in March already but we expect to put on another course.. so keep the enquiries coming; there's a reserve list building.
We expect that courses in 2009 will be in as much high demand as ever and look forward to seeing many of you here.
Look out too for extra courses! We are very proud of our 100% booking success. We regularly have to put on extra courses to fulfil demand, (9 extra courses were put on to meet demand for the 2008 programme), so we will update the website and send out e-mails to our database when the inevitable rush for places comes.
As well as the extra Hard-Backed Bookmaking course we will almost definitely have to schedule another Screenprinting course as demand in the week before Christmas for these and others has been great.

Hot Bed Press Bookstars new for 2009 Hot Bed Press is planning to start up a Book Arts Club in early 2009.
The club will meet on one evening a month at Hot Bed Press for inspiration and exchanges of ideas. It is open to all members.
The book arts club will include hand-made books and innovative ways of presenting ideas, as well as guerilla bookmaking and book manipulation, fanzines and pamphlets. As the club develops and grows we will be able to bring in guest tutors, and specialist speakers.
On offer will also be tutoring and guidance on typesetting, screenprinting, relief printing and other ways of bringing print and text to the books being made.
The Hot Bed Bookstars will also be an exhibiting and selling group that can work together on showing their work and we will promote it through Hot Bed Press on the web-site and in supporting exhibitions.
Anyone interested should contact Sean Rorke at the workshop via info@hotbedpress.org |
